Noteworthy Events
PEM Plays at the Hassler Theater in February and March
The PEM Drama Department will offer a Junior Varsity play, The Ever After—The Musical, on February 17th and 18th, at 7:00 p.m. and February 19th, at 2:00 p.m at the Jon Hassler Theater.
The Ever After is a hilarious parody of daytime TV. TV host Sally Lizzie Jesse Donatello-Griffin wonders if time truly heals all wounds. She invites Cinderella and her middle-aged "beauty-impaired" stepsisters to reconcile with each other after being estranged for 20 years.  The result is a hysterical fractured fairy tale that has it all: a trash-talking clairvoyant mirror, an unfortunate prince who is turning slowly back into a frog and even Jiminy Cricket — now an occupational therapist and author of the book My Life as Your Conscience.

The Varsity play, Once Upon A Mattress, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hassler Theater on March 1st and 2nd; and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. performances at the Hassler on March 3rd and 4th.

Tickets are $6.00 for adults; $5.00 students, and will be available at 1st National Bank and People’s State Bank in Plainview, and People’s State Bank in Elgin. Tickets are also on sale via the PEM website.
