& Birdwatching
The
Whitewater and Zumbro River Valleys, which surround Plainview,
offer visitors some of the best bird watching and hiking in southeastern
Minnesota. These valleys are part of the Richard J. Dorer
Memorial Hardwood Forest, which encompases the Whitewater
and Carley State Parks and several DNR
recreation areas.
